It gives me great pleasure to have an opportunity to serve the community as chair of the membership committee for The Connecticut State Conference the NAACP . As with any organization it is the members that make an organization credible and viable.Our strength grows with each new member. In the coming months, we will be engaging in an aggressive membership drive. We will be seeking new members who are concerned about the state of our community, our children's safety, schools, housing, jobs, banking practices and the justice system, the health care of our elderly, and working poor .
